Now, for the blogs hosted by WordPress.com will automatically have short URLs with the addition of WP.me. With the short URL craze, WordPress has finally stepped up for those who have WordPress hosted blogs. The links will be linked in the <head> tag of your website’s HTML.
You will now see a “Get Shortlink” next to the Permalink when you create a new post or edit an old one.
